Technical team changes at Biobest reflects expanding range of services

Our expanding range of technical and research services has led to changes in Biobests team structure with members of the current laboratory team taking on new roles.

Technical Manager Kieran McDonald, who was been with Biobest for 9 years, has responsibility for Cell Culture services and will now take on external customer support and responsibility for our full range of services.

After 6 years with Biobest Sarah McCallum is promoted to Senior Virologist with increased responsibility for trouble shooting tests and developing new assays primarily in molecular biology and serology. In addition Sarah becomes the main point of contact for one of our major pharmaceutical clients.

Also promoted to Senior Virologist is Zoe Mayes who has been working for Biobest for over 7 years, most recently as the BSU supervisor overseeing our Rabies diagnostics and as deputy to the laboratory manager. Her role now expands to take on customer and project management for a number of clients.

Biobest Managing Director Dr Paul Burr commented "As the demand for our expanding range of services increases and our customer base grows it is important that we support this with an experienced and committed technical team. I am extremely pleased we are able to do so with promotion from within the company which reflects on the strong skill base we have whilst providing further opportunities for the newer employees of the company to develop further responsibilities in support of our changes."

Please contact the office if you wish to gain further information on our technical and research services. Your enquiry will be passed to the relevant member of the technical and veterinary team to discuss your requirements.
