Welsh Producer wins inaugural Beef Stockman of the Future Award
Biobest were pleased to co-sponsor the inaugural NBA/Farmers Guardian Beef Stockman of the Future Award. Farmers Guardian readers voted online to choose a shortlist after reading a profile of each nominee. Those short listed were then visited by a panel of judges including Herdcare member William Haire from Northern Ireland. It was interesting to see that the final three producers were all committed to controlling disease in their herds using a closed herd policy or membership of a CHeCS scheme with relevant testing and biosecurity. Congratulations to the winners and all those entered.

- Runner Up - Shropshire farmer James Evans
- Highly Commended - HI Health Director John Scott from Tain
